UX/UI Designer & Product Owner

Founded in 2018, Kani provides Software as a Service (SaaS) technology to the Financial Technology (FinTech) and Payments industries - working with growing FinTechs, Payment companies, Banks and Electronic Money Institutions.

To help maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UX/UI Designer & Product Owner to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and our product roadmap, working closely with the CEO and development team in this critical role.

Role Summary:

We’re looking for a dynamic and resourceful UI/UX Designer & Product Owner to join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for driving the product roadmap through well-crafted design, robust user stories, and a meticulously organized product backlog. You will work closely with our development team and CEO to create and deliver features that meet the highest standards in user experience and functionality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Work: Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to demonstrate and test new ideas and concepts.
  • User Stories: Write clear and detailed user stories, including acceptance criteria, to guide the development process.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that all tasks are clearly defined, scoped, and ready for development.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, QA, stakeholders) to align goals and deliver high-quality features on schedule.
  • Customer Insight: Engage with customers to gather feedback, incorporating this data into design decisions and product development.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in a SaaS or fintech environment.
  • Solid understanding of design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including writing effective user stories and backlog grooming.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
